Description
About this role: At Southpaw Veterinary Clinic, we’re more than just a clinic—we’re a close-knit, community-driven team with a passion for helping every kind of pet thrive. Co-owned by Dr. Shrader and Dr. Lackovic, our independently run clinic believes in treating every patient like one of our own. We prioritize exceptional medical care while ensuring our clients feel supported, informed, and empowered every step of the way in their pet’s journey. Founded with the heartwarming mission of offering compassionate, family-oriented care to animals of all shapes and sizes, we are proud to serve Omaha and the surrounding communities with integrity, innovation, and a whole lot of heart.
Our work is often featured across various social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, where Dr. Shrader's educational and creative content showcases our non-traditional animal approach care. The successful candidate for this position will be excited to learn, will thrive on variety, and will support and encourage a fun, dynamic, and family-like atmosphere.
We are currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian who's compassionate, curious, detail oriented, and ready to dive into something new every day. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, is open to learning, and is ready to make an impact on not just the lives of the pets, but the families too.
Our clinic welcomes a fascinating mix of traditional and non-traditional pets—from cats and dogs to birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates. We provide farm and house call opportunities for certain non-traditional pets (large hoofstock, pot-bellied pigs, large tortoises, kangaroos, etc). The successful candidate for this position will have both an educational and experiential background in dogs and cats, with exotic patient experience preferred. On the job supplementary training will be provided in non-traditional patient care by Dr Trent Shrader.
Our current hours are Monday- Sunday 7am-10pm.
