The new Hospital for Veterinary Surgery will launch in Greenwich in December 2025. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated per diem Veterinarian to join our overnight team on an as-needed basis. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a crucial role in continuing our exceptional daytime care to our overnight inpatients and enhancing our overall level of veterinary medicine. About You:
We're seeking a dedicated professional with the following qualifications to join our team:
- DVM/VMD or equivalent
- Internship-trained or 5+ years of experience in inpatient care
- Passion for offering gold-standard medical care
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Hourly rate is negotiable
About Us:
Hospital for Veterinary Surgery marks a significant advancement in specialized veterinary care for the Greenwich community. Opening in December 2025, it will offer expert consultations, advanced surgical procedures, and dedicated post-operative care for cats and dogs. With an exceptional team of experienced veterinarians and support staff, the hospital is designed to provide the highest level of care in a comfortable environment. Notably, it will be the first hospital of its kind in Greenwich, filling a vital gap in specialized veterinary services in the area.
Our overnight team covers three 13-hour shifts per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our care team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care through the following responsibilities:
- Oversee the medical management of hospitalized patients overnight, ensuring round-the-clock top-quality care and close monitoring.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, other specialists, and technicians, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of hospital protocols to elevate patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' condition and ensuring a positive client experience.
- Contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment that promotes continuous learning and professional development.
