- Small Animal - Associate Veterinarian
Description
Seeking a dedicated small animal veterinarian to join our private practice to service the needs of our small animal clientele.  
This position would not have any requirement for large animal duties unless desired.
About Us: 
Blue Ridge Animal Clinic is a mixed animal veterinary practice in Lexington, VA. BRAC was established in 1985 with the goal of providing full-service veterinary care for large and small animals. 
We are located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia in the historic town of Lexington, VA with small town charm; 3 universities, proximity to the Appalachian Trail and Blue Ridge Parkway. 
BRAC does not offer small animal after-hours emergency services, but we may hospitalize patients that may require evening or weekend checks by a veterinarian. 
Small Animal associates do not have any responsibility for on call or emergency duties. 
Our practice has a surgical suite, in-house Idexx laboratory, digital radiography, state of the art dental equipment, ultrasound and a class IV therapeutic laser. Considerations may be made for either 3-day or 4 day work week.
Our team-oriented staff currently includes multiple LVTs, veterinary assistants, receptionists and a Practice Manager. Team members are passionate, professional and caring, providing fantastic support both in the clinic and on the road. Our skilled and compassionate staff provide preventive care as well as medical, surgical, dental and advanced reproductive services for our patients, both small and large animals.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

The physical capability to lift at least 35 pounds unaided.
Solid organizational skills that enable you to work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
A veterinary medicine degree from a recognized university and license to practice veterinary medicine in Virginia.
Completion of national certification exams or their equivalent is mandatory.
