Huntington University has an opening for Veterinary Nursing Advisor. The Veterinary Nursing Advisor will serve as the primary contact person and advisor for HU Animal Health/Veterinary Nursing students, will regularly meet with HU Animal Health/Veterinary Nursing students during the semester, will oversee Veterinary Nursing spaces and resources to support HU Veterinary Nursing students, be a primary liaison with the Purdue University Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning (VNDL) program, coordinating registration procedures, program requirements, and equipment needed for courses, will develop clinical partnership agreements with regional veterinary clinics and coordinate student clinical mentorship placements, and also will promote our Veterinary Nursing program, correspond with and recruit prospective Veterinary Nursing students, and attend community events.

Hold either the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Technology credentials; bachelor’s degree also required.

Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong desire to help students
Demonstrated clear verbal and written communication skills
